Q&A Session:
Student A:
What’s your original idea or orientation and mission of DAI Company? When you compare DAI with other company, what’s the differentiation?
Prof. Florin Baeriswyl :
‘Dai' is an Italian word, which means go go go. DAI stands for an active, fast, focused service in branding, corporate identity and design. DAI creates the brand expression.
Every day, many students or graduates apply for a job at our company DAI. For our recruiting team, it is crucial that the application is crisp and meaningful. If applicants offer their skills and interests in line with our DAI philosophy, they have a better chance of getting an interview..
At Shanghai SIVA-Detao, we have launched an ITALK, which means "Institute Talk". It is related to the Swiss dual system education model, which involves close cooperation between employers and the academic institute. This helps students to get in touch with potential employers.
Student B:
I don’t have any questions, but I would like to express my sincere thanks to Professor Florin. You’ve already solved so many problems in my mind during the two-hour lively lecture. Before your lecture, I did have some questions.
For example, as art and brand designers, should we be product-oriented or consumer-oriented? Now I have a clear picture. I questioned myself, If I do some internships, did I fully prepare myself? Can I take some practical internships based on the current slightly weak theoretical foundation?
In response to this, Yuan Mu mentioned that practical internships can promote the growth of our theoretical knowledge, which is a complementary process. We should face directly with these weaknesses and don’t have to worry too much. Practice makes perfect
Prof. Florin:
… happy to inspire.
